This report has been prepared by the Republic of the Fiji Islands for the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) as required by Article 6 of the Convention. This fifth national report covers the period from 2010-2013 and aims to: · Analyze the status, trends and threats and implications for human well-being. · Outline the national biodiversity strategy and action plan (NBSAP), its implementation, and the mainstreaming of biodiversity. · Assess the progress towards the 2015 and 2020 Aichi Biodiversity Targets and contributions to the relevant 2015 Targets of the Millennium Development Goals. Included and attached to the reports are appendix documents which are relevant to the report.
