Abstract

This post-construction audit of the Vaipua, Pangaimotu and 'Utungake causeways was undertaken to address concerns that the causeway construction has had detrimental environmental impacts. While the study was hampered by a lack of baseline information, the assessment has been able to conclude that the causeways are not presently causing significant harm to the environment.
