People and reefs : successes and challenges in the management of coral reef marine protected areas

Abstract

This report documents 13 coastal coral reef management initiatives, operated under the ICRAN framework. Although all case studies were formally accepted due to unforseen circumstances/political tensions only eight of these initiatives were presented at the international tropical marine ecosystem management symposium.
