Forum Secretariat work on Solar power and Increase landowner awareness on logging issues for PNG's non-Governmental organisation; Environment and Development in South Pacific

Abstract

The South Pacific Forum Secretariat has a energy section working on a range of projects relating to fuel and energy, this project working with electric utilities providing electricity services on solar power to remote areas and also developing an energy database for the region. Logging in PNG on the four corner programs, the program covered some of the major issues relating to logging by foreign companies in PNG.
