Abstract
Whales, dolphins and seals are like humans. They have a right to live just like us and need our constant protection. This video examines the effects of man's activities on these marine mammals and the regulations established by the International Whaling Commission to manage such activities. In 1982, the International Whaling Commission banned commercial whaling for 10 years. A case study of Iceland revealed that due to scientific research, whaling continued with whale meat from these experiments sold elsewhere and Japan. Dolphins and seals are also in danger entangled and killed by man made debris such as gill nets and torn driftnets.
