Abstract

The Thirteenth SPREP Meeting of Officials (13SM) was convened in Majuro, Marshall Islands, from 22 to 25 July 2002. Representatives of the following SPREP countries and territories attended: American Samoa, Australia, Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, France, French Polynesia, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, New Zealand, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, United States of America, Vanuatu and Wallis and Futuna. Council of Regional Organisations in the Pacific (CROP) partners, namely: Forum Secretariat, Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC), South Pacific Applied Geoscience Commission (SOPAC) and the University of the South Pacific (USP) were also represented. Observers from a range of regional, international and non governmental organisations were also present.
