OPENING SESSION 1.1 The RoundTable meeting was hosted by WWF World Wide Fund for Nature. WWF Pacific Director Peter Hunnam greeted delegates and introduced Fiji’s Minister for Local Government and Environment, Mr Vilisoni Cagimaivei. 1.2 The Minister welcomed delegates to Fiji and to the third meeting of the Pacific Islands Round Table for Nature Conservation , before formally opening the meeting. The Minister’s opening speech forms Annex 1.1 to this meeting report. 1.3 Mr Iosefatu Reti responded to the Minister on behalf of the regional environment agency SPREP. He welcomed old friends and new colleagues, and drew attention to the exciting achievements of the RoundTable in its first year, the endorsement of the regional Action Strategy for Nature Conservat
