Abstract
In 1992, a group of 20 women set out for the village of Nadovu in Fiji on a workshop organised by the International Womens Development Agency. It's goal was to learn more about the environment in particular, the rainforest. There they shared ideas and knowledge as to the preservation of the forests and their medicinal value. An exchange of healthy traditional cooking methods took place, with an illustration of clean and sustainable use ofthe bamboo bark. At the end of the workshop, participants learned a crucial lesson... We all depend on the obvious and hidden benefits of the Forests.
