Pacific Islands Whale Watch Tourism: 2005 - A region wide review of activity. July 2006 (Draft v.2)

Abstract

The Pacific Islands' whale and dolphin industry has demonstrated remarkable growth in the seven years since 1998. A worldwide assessment of the whale industry was presented in 2001 with global whale watching data for the 1998 season. The following report provides current data for the Pacific Islands region in 2005 and allows for analysis of recent trends in whale and dolphin watching tourism to be measured.
