Abstract
In this report, Carolyn Court reports on the environmental impact of logging on forests, training workshops on monitoring sea-level rise, and Australia's position on recent international environmental treaty negotiations. Dr. Frances Putts (Centre for International Forestry Research in Indonesia), discusses with Carolyn Court a project connecting two environmental issues. This discussion focuses on the possibility of reducing the impact of logging on Forests. Dr. Chalapan Kaluwin (SPREP Climate Change Officer), explains the objectives of the training workshops on monitoring sea level rise. Dr. Jurdy Handerson (National Chair for Australian Development Organisation Community Aid Abroad), describes why Community Aid Abroad has been involved in presenting this possition to the Government. Lastly, Ian Fry (National Liason Officer), for Greenpeace Australia expresses his concern about the International Environmental Treaty Negotiations.
