EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The Jaluit Atoll Conservation Area (JACA) was established in 1999 after a proposal submitted by the Republic of Marshall Island Environmental Protection Agency (RMIEPA). It is managed jointly by the RMIEPA, the CASO, Leti Abon, and the Conservation Area Coordinating Committee (CACC) . The CACC has approximately 15 members, including the Mayor (Chairman), several landowners, and other community representatives.
