Harmonizing with the Environment : UNEP International Environment Technology Centre

Abstract

This film is a compilation of 3 issues. It discusses the goal of the UNEP Centre, environmental concerns with regards to urban degradation, population concentration, and economic activities affecting the environment. Lastly, it provides a detailed tour of the UNEP Centre's design and purpose for each of the 3 division of the building. The Centre was designed to reflect UNEP's stance on enhancing and promoting harmony between man and nature. In doing so, it promoted recycling at all stages of the building construction, and by transfering technology to developing countries to help achieve a harmonious relationship between development and environment.
