The present report, prepared by SPREP is in response to a request from the Government of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) to develop a proposal for a programme of assistance to under-take an in-depth study of the porential impact of expected climate on the FSM. The possible climate changes include sea level rise and increases in temperature and extreme events, such as tropical cyclones, storm surges, flooding and drought. The climate change impacts are considered for both the natural environment and the socio-economic systems in the FSM.
