Abstract
Project Tamar is a turtle preservation project that was carried out in Brazil to protect turtles from extinction. Footage of the 1979 IBDF & Oceanograph Turtle Project is provided, as well as information on the success of individual projects for turtle preservation. It is estimated that from 1982 to 1983, about 2,000 baby turtles returned to the sea, while 80% of funds generated are circulated back into the communities.
