Abstract

SPREP in 1992 sponsored a seminar on the Environment and Reforestation for the Catholic Youth Group. SPREP officer Neva Wendt, represented SPREP to this seminar. In her speech, she touched briefly on SPREP's roles and objectives and also current projects implemented throughout the Pacific by SPREP. With 3 tapes continuing after the other, the seminar raises several issues particular to Samoa and a visit to the Nafanua Hortricultural Centre at Vailima and links environmental issues with biblical understanding. Those present were Neva Wendt of SPREP, and Vailolo Filipo Stowers, spokesperson for the Catholic Youth Group.
